Eyelid Tightening

The correction of the upper and sublid is differentiated in the eyelid correction.

In principle, both procedures can be combined. However, the medical indications are different and accordingly the surgical procedures.

Upper eye sight

In the case of the upper eyelids, a significant excess of skin (sliplid) leads to an overexertion of the eyelet. The consequences: A tired look, irritable eyes, difficulties in concentration, migraine-like headaches, significant limitations of the field of vision. An upper eye tightening is of great effectiveness. It quickly increases the eye radiation and you get a fresher, alert appearance.

Operational procedures and anaesthesia

This procedure is performed under local anaesthesia. Here the cut runs in the fold of eyelids and disappears completely there, so that no scars are visible later. This removes excess skin, muscle tissue as well as fat body. The wound is closed with a very fine thread.

The aftercare

Postoperatively, eyes are cooled with ice compresses. This promotes decongwelling and prevents bruising.
Any physical activity, especially bending and pressing, must be avoided in the first hours after eyelid correction.

Preparation

Surgical processes and anaesthesia
This procedure is also performed under local anaesthetic. The fine skin incision is applied 1-2 mm below the eyelashes. Pre-pressure fat bodies are removed and the excess skin removed. Muscle tissue is preserved as a natural cushion to achieve a harmonious facial expression.

The wound is then closed with a very fine thread. The resulting scars are not visible later.
A special paving bandage (tape with steristrips) supports and stabilizes the result of plastic surgery in the first few days. Swelling in the lower eye area can sometimes persist for several weeks.
